• this software SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  I don't know what happened, but I had a whole trip's worth of GoPro videos disappear from a new SD card. Photo Recovery seemed the most trustworthy, so I gave it a whirl. The first option didn't seem to find anything,

  I waste 4 hours of my time scanning for files, and the sofware makes me retype the registration code again, are u kidding me?????? also it will not accept all the characters in the box, the the program locks up and my 4 hr scan is long gone, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now finally, I am settled with another similar tool named Wondershare Photo Recovery: http://www.flash-video-soft.com/photo-recovery/ and it lived up to my expectations.

  Summary

  My desktop is always cluttered with media files, especially photos of my nieces and pet terrier. When my Windows went black, Photo Recovery found all these precious pictures.

  Recovered almost all of the photos I had deleted (used memory card).

  Cons

  However, it was not user-friendly enough to explain instructions and the nuances of the program. Example - I went through the whole rigamorole and got everything recovered onto a screen, but wouldn't let me recover to my computer (or ANYwhere for that matter): as the reply I got from the Cust. Service when I emailed them - although they were quick & thorough to reply & identified the problem - gave NO CLEAR directions on how to then get past the problem so I could go ahead & download the photos . . . other than directing me to ANOTHER software. Which didn't work worth diddly. Found the 'Wise' undelete on my own. THAT one worked wonders!

  Summary

  NOt satisified. Quick customer service with questions/probs & they identified the problem quickly. However, they ended up sending me to a DIFFERENT software to accomplish what THEY advertise THEIR software does. How confusing is that?!?!?? Annoying too. I'm so skittish about downloading ANY software to my computer but ended up doing 4 total just to get to one that does what it says it will! (Wise UnDelete). Whats sad is, if the cust rep had given me instructions on how to work around the issue that came up & I could stay within their software to do so, I would have purchased the entire program, no problem!!

  Pros

  Saved my butt twice already. First when I deleted the wrong image during the photoshoot, and yesterday when the card suddenly stopped responding and I got was some error message from the camera. Windows said I must reformat the card but I declined and run this fabulous little program. Got ALL, but the last picture back! So thank you, thank you, thank you guys!

  None! And definitely no malware there. Don't know wtf are you people talking...

  I have not been able to get this to work, because I've been too busy working to get my browser unhijacked and the malware off of my computer. This is the second time I have been burned by freeware infected downloaded from CN*T. I think this will be the last time I use this site.
