This program fails to put the music where its mouth is. Though we could sufficiently test A4 Audio's editing capabilities, we couldn't get the program to copy or rip CDs. That said, if you're only looking to edit music files and want an alternative to pricey Sound Forge software, this isn't a bad option. All the basic editing features, including a myriad of filters and options such as normalize, fade in/out, and reverb, can be found here. One weird wrinkle is the program display. No matter how long your music track is, whether three minutes or 10, the program will display the whole track on the main window--a design flaw, to be sure, and definitely dysfunctional. Overall, this is a decent music editor with a few flaws that weren't music to our ears.
