Pros
Very attractive interface, easy to use, wide range of formats and functions. Conversion is quite fast and output quality good. Staff replied very quickly to email for help, which was due to my error and not problem with program. Cuts and joins too!
Cons
I'd have liked to save in original size and extract sound to dub onto clips with duff sound (convert video to audio). Special effects range is a bit limited. I'd have liked transition effects that break up the image and swirl the pixels around.
Summary
I like this product a lot - it's good for the money and a lot better than some free editors I've tried. My 'cons' shouldn't be seen as complaints, as it's perhaps not reasonable to expect more for the price - it's got a lot already! May be of interest: I briefly tried a slightly more expensive version called 'Ultimate' and found the interface too busy and confusing. I much prefer this one, although maybe Ultimate is OK when you get the hang of it! I'm quite a beginner, and this program is a really good starter editor.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Jan 14, 2011<p/>I apologise to 4Media - it DOES allow you to save in original size! I had not checked out the HD options. Well, I did say that I was a beginner...
