Used 120 Sports for iOS?
Editors’ Review
120 Sports offers highlights and expert analysis from all the major sports. The publisher, 120 Sports LLC, claims that it offers over 10 hours of live programming every day with no cable subscription or authentication. However, we found its programming lacking in substance.
Pros
Sleek interface: A lot of time and effort was poured into 120 Sports' design. From its crisp, bold photos and its short load time for videos, there's no doubt a professional designed it.
Cons
Short on substance: We expected the "live" programming the publisher touts to be actual games, especially when it's emphasized that no cable subscription is required to view. However, the programming consists of a group of people talking about general sports topics. Highlights are few and far between.
Old news: We were surprised to find that 120 Sports doesn't offer any kind of real-time news despite its claims; all of the updates featured in the app were from games that happened at least 12 hours before we started testing it. There were games going on while we were testing the app, and never once did we see a current update.
Bottom Line
If you like to keep up-to-date on sports scores and statistics, and you like to watch extensive highlights, 120 Sports isn't for you. We only recommend it as a secondary sports app for general sports conversation and nothing more.
