Editors’ Review
Requiring more than one click to get the results you want, this software isn't nearly as convenient as its name insinuates. 1 Click Search is free, but the paltry interface is unimpressive. A clunky toolbar sits on top of an information window. You'll be able to increase and decrease the font size on the toolbar, but that's it in the way of customizations.
The program's home page opens with long lists of search categories. That's fine, but entering a search term proves 1 Click Search is past its prime. The results page now points to a defunct Web site. Instead of your results, you get a placeholder page where the domain is parked. You can use the parked page to do a Google search, but why bother?
With no address bar, you'll find surfing nearly impossible. We were stuck entering Web page names on this software's search bar and then clicking on the site we wanted--and that's only if it showed up in the results. You can, however, navigate backward and forward and return to the preset 1 Click Search home page. Substandard in our book, you'll want to bypass 1 Click Search.
