Publisher's description
From David Hopkins :This small application will let you test network connectivity between your Internet-connected computer and a remote computer. Simply launch the program, fill out the address of the remote computer, and specify how often you want myPing to test connectivity. When the application contacts the remote host, it will announce it with eight system beeps. Among other uses, myPing can come in handy if you want to avoid being disconnected from your ISP for inactivity during the time it takes to download large files.

Version: myPing
"It does what the Author says it will do."
Pros: Although "myPing" is a simple utility and does not give a lot of technical information about "tracert" or "ping," it does work.
I down loaded and tested this utility just because of the previous terrible review.
Very few pieces of software warrant such a terrible review.
In the "Terrible Review" category I include Spy Ware or Mal-ware, "myPing" does not fit in that group at all.
First of all this little utility worked the first time that I tried it on my Windows XP Pro. box.
Note; I did "Read The Flipping Manual."
That usually helps a lot when trying out new software, lets you know what to expect and what kind of results you may or may not get under given circumstances.
I also noticed that it was originally intended for Windows 95.
A time when fewer people were familiar with networking, therefore they were also fewer people who needed or wanted to know more than, "Does it work or does it not?"
If you are looking for a simple device that will notify you of your machines connectivity, myPing will do the job.
How ever it would do well for anyone who uses a computer regularly that's on a local network or the internet to learn at least the basics in this area.
The "Help and Support?" files that ships with Windows provides a good starting point for the not so Geeky to start reading.
Cons: If you are looking for an output data such as the number of hops of the time between ping, look for a different utility.
For those who do not know, you can download a host network setup and testing utilities and get more help from here "support.microsoft.com/search/default.aspx?qu=tracert+utility."

Version: myPing
Summary: This program is horrible. It's uselessness is rivaled only by it's hideousness.

Version: myPing
Summary: I'm not a programmer, but I don't know why a .5 MEG download is required for this utility. If you could add additional IP's.. beyond... 1, that would be nice. Pass on this one.

Version: myPing
"Total Junk! Use ping.exe!! MUCH BETTER!!!"
Summary: This is one of the worst programs that I have ever used! And I thought OmniPing was bad!
