My wife and I have been playing version 3.5 and must say that we've never enjoyed a more addictive, well-designed and FUN poker sim. I LOVE all the variations and have introduced many of the dealer's choice game rules to our regular home game. And major kudos to Scenario Software for keeping this game updated for the new Macs. I can't wait for version 4. I love that rockin' Scenario Poker dashboard widget, too. And to the previous reviewer who slammed this game for no good reason: GET A LIFE, MAN! Do you have any idea what it takes for an independent developer to write and support a great product like this? And then to have to put up with idiots who tear it down? It sounds like you probably work for a competitor of IPoker's. So give the guy a break. I'm sure he uses it to support his family, just like your job.

Not even in "help" system. Add this to the price and...guess what...bye bye. Oh, yes, one more thing. I've never seen a single poker game, free of shareware, that has SO poorly desgined betting system...at least in Texas Hold'em...

It is also set up to draw you into betting making you think you have a good hand. After all it is a computer game and can't be like real life with the luck of the draw, but it's close. I do have one thing I would like to see. I would like to decide who I play with and have more choices doing that. The one person that always gets the good hands looks like my first wife, like I need that. The one guy reminds me of a jerk I used to work with. It would be great to have about 20 players and I pick the five that I want to play with.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Other than the nice graphics and sound this demo, once you've played awhile, begins to show it's limitations. The AI tends to favor one player above the rest and folds hands for no apparent reason. It's like you playing five hands of 7 card and trying not to know what's in the other hands... it clearly does... like when one of the AI players folds two pair (showing) when the other players have nothing showing that could beat it (but ends up they have in the hole cards) and it repeats this pattern constantly. Pair of 6's (showing) fold to a pair of 4's (showing) with two cards yet to draw. Players betting against three of a kind (showing) and they have nothing... I think, maybe it's 'bluffing' but these same 'players' routinely fold stronger hands for no apparent reason. Anyway, it's entertaining briefly, but beyond that it really becomes evident just how poorly the AI functions as four other players and a 'random' deck of cards. If it was designed this way... then I'm glad I saved my money... and regret wasting my time. I think I'll find something better to do with both.

I expected just another run-of-the-mill poker game, and was very pleasantly surprised. Well worth the 30 bucks, I'll be paying for it quite soon. Thanks for a phenomenal game.
