Windows 7 Logon Background Changer is a free open source software that lets you change the wallpaper of the Windows 7 login screen (also known as "welcome screen" or "login screen"). It does not change any system file, and the program itself does not requires admin rights to run (it will just ask you to run as admin a very simple cmd file that creates the required folder and registry key with the appropriate rights) It creates a few JPEG files based on the image you want to put as wallpaper for the Windows 7 login screen, applies the appropriate cropping and sizing and saves them using the best compression quality possible.

So many annoying additional programs messing up my browser, two were simply to remove but the others are irritating. ********.
Summary
DONT DOWNLOAD. Scum of the Earth are the people who develop this stupid programs.

"Installs extra buggy software"

The program itself does exactly as advertised. It'll change your logon screen with no hassle and the GUI is pretty nice without bogging down the program.
Cons
On the other hand It installed 4 additional programs on my computer that there didn't seem to be any way around installing with the built-in installer. Two of them were fairly harmless and didn't do much. The other two automatically installed themselves in my browser and began to constantly reboot my browser making me lose the data that I had stored on the webpage I was working on at the time. The reason it happened more than once is that it reinstalled itself after I just deleted it from chrome.

Works "pretty much" like a charm. Does it without changing ANY system files or components.
Cons
Just a small error that doesn't happen to everyone. But this doe not affect anything (system included).
Summary
Does what it's supposed to in the best manner possible. It also has the best most impressive UI I have ever seen and used.
There is a small problem for a few where nothing seems to take effect. This is because after following directions the included WCM does not run as expected automatically. Even if your logged in as administrator. If that happens all one has to do is shut down the program, right click the script & 'OPEN' it. It's done. The program will run like the charm that it is.
Other than this tiny flaw, I have never been impressed with a logon changer prior to this. Sure, I remember one that enabled lots of graphic manipulation also. But that can be done the classic way, in a graphics editor.
Want to change your logon image? There isn't a better or simpler way. Best of all, it's safe to. -

Looks professional (unlike the other logon changers I've seen for win 7). Very nice user interface. It's quick and painless to use. It's a small and portable program.
Cons
No cons for this program, it does what it's supposed to and does it well.

I've been using it since it was first posted to this site and it has become a must have on my win 7 machines.
