  Pros

  Does multiple pages. Can reorder if need be. Can save to PDF. Simple to use. Small app with no install. It met my exact need with no fuss. Others I tried seemed to have malware but there were no complaints by AVG with this one. So I guess that is a pro :)

  Cons

  Not really any cons for me as it depends on what you are after. Can only output as PDF. Interface is not particularly nice if you care about that. Just does document to PDF with no frills, so if you are wanting more then not for you.

  Summary

  Worth the download if your needs are simple, but you may need other software if you are not wanting to do documents.

  Pros

  No problems scanning and making a PDF. The latest version adjusts resolution, scan quality, with no problems.

  Cons

  None, as long as you decline the optional garbageware.

  Summary

  A VERY useful little program for anyone who scans and sends documents. For me it replaces the primary functions I used in the Canon Toolbox which doesn't work with Windows 7 or 8. PDF Signature documents from this program are now very easy to read and accepted by almost everyone as legally binding as the originals.

  Pros

  I urgently needed to scan two home insurance applications and send them to my agent as email PDF attachments. I downloaded this program, installed without any of the crapware, and got the applications scanned and emailed in about 1/3 the time it would have taken to do regular JPEG scans of each page and email them. The resolution was great. My new computer has Windows 8 64 bit instead of Vista 32 bit so the original MF3240 Canon laser printer Toolbox didn't work despite the 64 bit driver installation, but this program took over a big part of the functions for me.

  Cons

  A whole bunch of crapware, toolbars, etc. have to be declined. Too bad the creator has to make a living with such stuff as he's very talented.

  unfortuanately, it does not work on a windows 7 machine with phenomenal specs using an HP LaserJet 3055 printer/scanner/fax.

  Pros

  Once I saw the malware, I removed it and never attempted to use it. I never will know if it has any pros.

  Cons

  Installing WinScan2PDF put a shopping service I did not want into IE, Firefox and Chrome. It took me an hour to remove the program and the malware.

  Summary

  Stay away from software that hides malware with the program. No wonder they offer it for free.
