Version: WinAVI Video Converter 8
"Great Product If you Buy The Full Version!"
Pros: This is one of the fastest video converting software thats out today. It can make almost any video into any format that you want. You can convert a .AVI file into a DVD in under 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Cons: The biggest draw back is the price. $29.95 is a little high but i can't say that its not worth that. If you need a good converter and have a little money to spend then this is what you want. When you use the trial version it leaves a watermark on your output file.

"Brilliant! Does what it says and can handle most files."
Pros: At last! A program that can handle DVD-RAM, VR_MOVIE.VRO (Panasonic) and convert to VIDEO_TS.VOB (DVD-R). All others I've tried (many) cannot do this. AND it can burn to DVD using its own burner.

Pros: I like the speed!
If convertXtoDVD, NERO, etc makes a dvd from an avi, it takes about 2 hours, WinAVI does it in 30 min!
Cons: Somethimes WinAVI crashes, but it crashes not a lot

"It works. If you don't have the full version you get a water mark on the video"
Pros: It does what it's suppose to do. Fairly satisfied.
Cons: I don't like how long it takes. It takes approximately 1-1.5 hrs to convert one movie from DivX format into a dvd playable format. Also when you burn the movie and play it on a dvd player. It opens up with what seems to be a scene selection. Can someone recommend me a better software program?
