This privacy utility offers just about every feature we like to see in this type of application. The cleverly designed interface, which mimics a box of laundry detergent, is a big point in this program's favor. Similar to virtually all applications in this class, Wash N' Go cleans out your browser's temporary files, cache, cookies, and typed URLs. It's great the program now supports many Web browsers beyond Internet Explorer, including Firefox, Opera, and NetCaptor. The application also can wipe traces from common Windows system areas, including the Clipboard and the Run menu. It includes a file shredder, giving you multiple ways to securely delete files. The list of supported third-party applications seems quite comprehensive and includes support for popular IM clients and design programs. The ability to schedule cleaning sessions and to run the program in stealth mode are big pluses, though some users might find the 11-day trial period rather short. Average Web surfers looking to hide their traces likely will find this program offers just about everything they need.

No redeeming qualities
Cons
Eats memory like it is candy, do not try to alter any of the setting after installation or you WILL lose important files. Does not erase, files merely marks them for deletion. My other cleaning software found all the deleted file and restored them.
Summary
Don't waste time or energy downloading, this program needs A LOT of work.

Will NOT uninstall, Can NOT remove fr main program files on hard disk.. You are stuck with it unless you reinstall Operating system.

Nice Features... I liked how it ran automatically and could also be scheduled.
Cons
Program left evidence (traces) of Flash Player use. Specifically the SOL directories under flash player. Means casual inspection of your system will indicate the website and date time visited...
Summary
Good for routine maintenance... Not good if you are trying to remove all tracable activity.

Pros
Seems to offer lots of flexibility; good variety of cleaning options. I appreciate it cleaning for users who have branched out beyond IE to Opera, Firefox etc. Fairly fast cleaning process, particularly if used regularly.
Cons
No flaws that I can tell. Of course, I haven't tried to test how securely it deep cleans, but the algorithms used are meant to be about as secure as you can get. I keep financial data on my PC, so this is important to me.

I truly don't understand the negative reviews, but they're pretty convincing. Hell, I even have Wash 'n go on two machines already, and the reviews nearly put me off placing it on my third!
Seems like a good software package to me, and Cnet's whole shtick is that their downloads are virus & malware free. I'd say "use with confidence"! -

Does what it says and more. Options are good. I install WnG on every machine I set-up. I carry a copy all over the world for internet cafe computers. Don't know what these others were doing. Great software; get it! Use it all the the time.
Cons
If you are an occasional user, a truly clean wipe, especially of all the files IE needlessly writes to your HD, it may take some time and resources to get the job done. The lesson to learn is not to dislike WnG, but hate IE. That's easy.

Get it. Travel with it. Give it to your friends. (That is why I am here today.) One of the better freewares around for HD privacy maintenance. It is not the be all end all, but for browser clean-up, it is recommended. Check out the company web site. READ the help files; check out all the features. More than just a cleaning tool. Deserves your use and support. (NO, I am not connected with the company. Even if I was, I'd still call a dog a dog. This one does not bark! This IS shareware--share it.) You'll like it. My OS is XP Pro SP2. (No Vista on my watch! No room for win7 either.) No experience yet with OS X, but soon....
Don't know where the the zombies who say don't download this software are coming from, but Wash n'Go is on all 18 of my machines. It is on more than 100 PC all over the world where I have traveled. No problems. No spyware. No virus. No traces. No identity theft from info on public computers. Understand you may lose some info in auto-fill features of WIN OS--the stuff stored in cookies for example. Be wise get RoboForm where all that stuff you can't remember can be stored. This is a great piece of software. Period. 6 stars on Cnet's 5 star rating. Support it if you can.

Removed my audio when cleaning. Tried to uninstall and it removed .dll files that prohibit uninstall from windows. Still can't get rid of it even after uninstalling it keeps popping up.

This software will F-up your computer...bottome line, DO NOT USE. I wish I had read the warning. I will have to reformat my harddrive after installing this piece of crap.

This program has nothing new to offer except a virus.

This download has a virus that will not allow you to remove the Wash n Go file. Even manually in Windows Explorer. It also messes with other registry cleaners I have on my system.

I have installed this software on computers on 5 contients; it cleans my tracks beautifully every time. I do not know where the disgruntled comments come from but from my 23 years of experience, this is an excellent product. I put it on every machine I touch. Whatever they didn't like DID NOT come from this software. Use it with confidence. If you need anything brousers leave behind, you won't find it after Wash n'Go. [I have no connection with Red Leg whatsoever.]
