WORKS FINE!!!!!

- I tried installing the Microsoft virtual drive utility for Win 7, couldn't get Windows to install the driver for the thing despite following the MS readme instructions to a "t". Installed Virtual CloneDrive, ran it, up popped a little box of dialogues and options, which didn't do anything. Gotta read those instructions huh? Which apparently the last reviewer didn't do. (Nor I, at first.) I quickly realized that all you gotta do is right-click the ISO file (Win 7 Service Pack 1 in my case) which gives you the option to MOUNT it - my Windows update is running fine right now. Thanks, Sheeples!

- This review is more about the install procedure than the product itself. I was hesitant to install the program given the reviews about unavoidable adware. However I found it's possible to do a "clean" install is one is *very* careful. What look like "take it or leave it" accept/decline offers pertain only to the adware, not the actual product. By declining all such offers the installer finally runs and (as far as I can tell so far) does not install other software.
Works as intended.

Adware/Hijacker/toolbar installer is integrated

- I didn't install so I can't speak to what crapware the actual program is loaded with. but Download.com's installer app has a browser hijacker and toolbar installer. It doesn't give you a way to not install them, it eludes to an option to not agree with the terms but there is no way to check a box to indicate that you agree with the crapware. It just installs. It's one thing for the publisher to have there crapware, but for Download.com to force their own in there is despicable.

- Avoid it like the plague, in fact, get off of this website right now. Cnet's level of sellout has reached a new low. Not only are their hardware "reviews" bought and paid for, but now they are in the business of forcing adware onto your computer.

- Hijacks your browser. Difficult to remove. The driver is not digitally signed and will not even install properly on newer versions of Windows anyway.

- C'mon Cnet you guys are supposed to remove programs from your site the contain malware... I chose the custom install and unchecked the box to install the malware toolbar... but it installed it anyway. And when you uninstall the toolbar via the control panel it doesn't revert all the changes.
