From FG Engineering:From the developer: ""The 'Free Version' provides basic video motion detection and issues selectable sound alarms. Video Motion Detection, Source, and Format parameters are setable. Detection can be calibrated. Live Video Window and Motion Detected Windows shown. Look outside from inside. You can record and play your own audible alarms e.g. 'a customer has entered the store' or 'intruder alert'. Good for watching over the backyard, front door, inner rooms.""
this is a program which will display what your webcam is seeing and record when there is a movement. you can choose how significant the movement is, and it works pretty well. this "free" version, however, does not allow you to record to disk so this is basically a demo. the real deal is only $19 though so if you want a surveillance prog this is a good cheap option.
The description says "Keep an eye on your home or business from anywhere in the world over the Internet." This is simply not true as this free version DOES NOT PROVIDE ANY KIND OF REMOTE (WEB OR OTHER) ACCESS!
"Free as in crack it or free as in windows will crash anyway!?"

Version: Video Site Monitor (Free Version) 1.42
I didnt even download this because I saw it said "Freeware" but on download page it said 30-day trial. Shame on CNet and foobar for the application writer. Bad style and bad maners. I can see that the term Freeware has different meaning for people!
