Despite a few interface complaints, this video-conversion app scores points due to several fairly unique features. VideoEdit Converter Pro's interface is easy enough to use and navigate, but it unfortunately can't be maximized or minimized to your taskbar. Also, although we were able to specify the output file's destination directory before conversion, the dedicated icons for changing file locations didn't work in our tests. This utility can transform files among AVI, WMV, and MPEG formats, including several flavors of the latter. You can specify file height and width, apply compression, and encode video in the VBR mode. We appreciated VideoEdit Converter Pro's extra features, such as the ability to choose from a number of transition effects and add your own music files to any clip. Unlike many similar programs, this one will convert as many complete clips as you want for seven days. This utility makes a quality choice for anyone undertaking simple video-conversion chores.Publisher's description

Version: Video Edit Converter Pro 2
"It doesn't do anything to videos"
Pros: It installed fine, and didn't crash.
Cons: It doesn't do anything to video files. The preview window remains blacked out while "previewing"... It seems like this program is just the interface.

Cons: Couldn't load any video files to edit. Error says I need to input correct time, but the time boxes are grayed out and won't let me change the time. This was a very short trial period!Perhaps the full version has a help button, but this version does not.

Pros: No idea - never was able to use.
