The URL Blocker lets the user choose which site or sites to block according to a date or number of minutes or hours that they also choose. Once a block is activated, the user cannot de-activate it except by uninstalling the program located at ComputerHelp.com The URL Blocker works for all Windows-based computers, and unlike other blocking software, takes effect automatically on both Internet Explorer and Firefox. The program includes password protection, preventing others from blocking Web browsing without the user's knowledge or permission. No data is collected before users can download the program, and the URL Blocker shows no ads.

Pros: There are no pros for this virus
Cons: It takes over on starting the computer and has very liittle functionality. You can not uninstall either.

"Terrible -- Trashes Host File Entries"
Pros: waste of bandwidth and time to download this.
Cons: Uses hosts file to block URL access (very weak scheme ... use notepad to defeat) ... trashes all the other entries in the HOSTS file (for those of us using HostsMan).
Summary: You need to go to their website and download a separate program to remove the application (unless you're smart enough to use GoBack when testing new software)... trash like this should not be allowed in download.com ... essentially it's a program to... read more >>

Pros: Great idea. I could really use a program like this if it worked.
Cons: On my Windows XP machine, it gives "I/O" error messages constantly, though still seems to function. On my Vista machine, it won't load properly at start-up, won't kill, and won't even uninstall with the separately download-able uninstaller!!!
Summary: A complete nightmare. I have no idea how to get this thing off my Vista machine now. Whether I try and use the actual program or the uninstaller, it just gives an error message stating that I don't have permission. And in the meantime it barrages... read more >>
