Mermaids flip their tails and divers cruise past a sun-spackled reef in the light-hearted Tropical Aquarium Screensaver. The graphics are a tad hokey, but you can fine-tune every aspect of the show: the centerpiece, the background image, the species of marine life (such as sea horses, sharks, and a tiny killer whale), and a variety of miscellaneous goodies, including a Mafia snitch on his way to sleeping with the fishes. A preview pane on the well-designed control panel shows what each item looks like. Six MIDI background-music selections, including Jimmy Buffet's "Margaritaville," round out the entertainment options. Our one major complaint is the screensaver's refusal to return to the desktop when you press a key; you need to click the mouse. Otherwise, Tropical Aquarium Screensaver is almost as fun as the Disneyland submarine ride, and a lot cheaper.Publisher's description

"would have been cool 10 years ago..."
Pros: is what it says it is
Cons: graphics are lame. i can't believe this is so popular - there are many much better aquarium screensavers out there.

Cons: This screensaver looks like it was developed for the commodore 64. There are MANY much better aquarium screensavers out there. Recommended ones are Dream Aquarium 1.0 and Marine Aquarium 2.
