Trojan Remover was written to aid in the removal of Trojan Horses and Internet Worms when standard anti-virus software has either failed to detect the problem or is unable to effectively eliminate it. The majority of Virus and Trojan Scanners are well able to detect malicious Trojan Horses and Internet Worms but are not always very efficient in removing them once they have been triggered.
Trojan Remover was written specifically to carry out such a removal without the user having to manually edit system files, including the Registry. The program also removes the additional system modifications some Trojans carry out which are ignored by other Virus and Trojan Scanners.
What's new in this version: Version 6.8.4 Build 2611 improved support for 64bit systems, including integration into the Windows Explorer context menu and updated detection methods.

None in this case, although it found a couple of tracking cookies I hadn't detected yet.

Trojan is still residing on the computer in question.

As soon as AVG tries to remove them they replicate back into place in essential windows files. The trojan remover 6.8.2 does not see them or removeSummary

I installed the program on Windows 7. It says it is installing but then pops up a message saying it could not find the install folder. Note that I have used a Windows 7 feature to move my "users" files to a partition. It could be that this program has not been updated to use that feature.

Has been around for a while. Works unbelievably well, catches many virus variants that most other software misses.
Cons
Pretty much done with this software since it does NOT support 64-bit operating systems, pretty much useless these days. That is the only con.
Summary
Totally worth it if you have a 32-bit operating system. If you have a 64-bit machine, look somewhere else,

There's no point downloading the update without the program. So I downloaded Trojan Remover 9.0 and tried to install it which failed but in the meantime I had to agree to lots of programs starting at start-up which I agreed to.
Cons
The program still wouldn't install so I decided to get rid of it. That was the start of my troubles. It took me ages to finally get it off my system. As far as I know it's gone.
Summary
Download Trojan Remover 9.0 at your peril. There is no point downloading the update if I haven't got the actual program. It told me this when I tried doing this. It said no program, no update.
