"Great for consultants to track project time."

    October 6, 2011  |   By JGHowland

    Version: TraxTime 5.12

    Pros

Easily configurable and customizable for your project time tracking needs. Can track both billable and non-billable time; can choose level of granularity for tracking time from the nearest minute to the nearest/next hour.

    Cons

Not easy to track/control shared projects using the manager version unless you configure those projects before hand.

    Summary

I've been using this software for over 10 years now and Spud City Software has made something that just plain works.

"My favorite punch clock; been using it many years."

    January 22, 2011  |   By JonathansToolBar&Grill

    Version: TraxTime 5.12

    Pros

Simple, flexible, effective. See my full review and recommendation at http://jonathanstoolbar.blogspot.com/2007/05/22-its-about-time.html, updated at http://jonathanstoolbar.blogspot.com/2008/10/76-what-i-did-last-summer.html.

    Cons

Biggest drawback is inability to search memos (notes with each time entry).

    Summary

As a free-lance consultant, I tried many time-tracking applications but always came back to TraxTime.

    "A wonderful time management tool"

    September 30, 2006  |   By erictlee1955

    Version: TraxTime 4.17

    Pros

This replaced a Palm-based tool and a web-based one (Harvest) which I was using. I wanted something that worked on my main device, a PC. Wasn't easy to find one, but this turned out to meet my needs exactly. Basically, throughout the day I run it to keep track of what I'm working on -- and not working on. An essential tool. And free!

    "Sometimes Less Is More"

    September 14, 2005  |   By jtek99

    Version: TraxTime 3.8

    Pros

For tracking time with no frills, this program is great! The interface is intuitive and straightforward, the reports look good, and I haven't yet found a single bug.

    Cons

The price. At $39, it's far too steep for what you get.

"I can finally document my work!"

    December 8, 2003  |

    Version: TraxTime 3.8

    Summary

I've tried other time management, but most are geared to support project traking/billing and require a *lot* of setup and maintenance. They don't work well in environment where your tasks change minute by minute. The next time my boss asks me to explain what I do with all my time, I think the reports will speak volumes! Setup and documentation is a breeze... I plan to use it a few more days and if it works, I *will* buy it. May buy for my staff as well!!!

"Simple Program that does a great job for tracking time."

    August 27, 2003  |

    Version: TraxTime 3.8

    Summary

I am testing the program now using the trial version. I have found it very good and easy to use. It's like having a time clock on your computer. You can punch in and punch out for different things you may be doing on your computer. Really efficient and slick!

"Good program but unable to install on XP"

    December 2, 2002  |

    Version: TraxTime 3.8

    Summary

I found previous shareware versions of this program useful, but was unable to install the current version on my computer operating XP. A good feature to add would be an optional audio/video reminder to let you know at pre-set intervals how much time you have spent on a particular project.
