Easily rearrange entries on your Taskbar with this tiny application. Taskbar Organizer's plain dialog opens with a simple list of current windows. You choose a window and click on a huge arrow to move the window up or down the list. A quick click to apply the new order and the windows rearrange immediately. Our only gripe with Taskbar Organizer is it opens each time with the list in alphabetical order. That forces most users to rearrange the list. The application has no option to open with the items in their current order. Anyone can quickly grasp this application. It needs no help file and easily fits on a USB memory stick. Most users will find this freeware useful and beneficial.Publisher's description
From Vitas Enterprises :Taskbar Organizer enables you to rearrange the program entries on your Windows taskbar to your liking instead of the Windows default arrangement. When you open a program, Windows adds an entry to the end of the taskbar, which is sometimes inconvenient. Now you can reorder the tabs on the taskbar anytime you like, keeping similar programs together or moving your favorite program next to the Start button. This program doesn't affect the QuickLaunch buttons in any way and rearranges only the open windows portion of the taskbar.

Version: Taskbar Organizer 1.01
Pros: Great program for anyone that likes to have their taskbar setup a certain way.
This program works on my Vista 64-bit laptop as well as on a Citrix Environment. Haven't tried it yet but I would assume it would even work as a portable application.
Cons: Not really that important but you can't see the program in your taskbar so at times you could forget that you are running it if you have a lot of programs open so you could easily open the program more than once without any real notice.

Version: Taskbar Organizer 1.01
"Great Tool but needs improvements"
Summary: Use it once and it is great. Moves those little icons just where you want them. Open it again and it forgot that you had already moved the icons, now you have to doit again for all of them. It forgets the settings that it set.

Summary: Wasting time searching through a series of taskbar program bars to find the one you need to activate? Or one webpage of several that are lost in the commonality of program bars? Running just as multitasked as your operating system? This little utili... read more >>
