  "Covers many holes left by Time Machine"

  Pros

  * Live syncs so that I always have an up-to-date backup
  * The best way I've found to keep my notebook and desktop computers synced
  * Keeps an always-current bootable backup
  * Very helpful user support

  Summary

  An excellent solution, both for for syncing files between computers and for keeping a backup on an external drive. After the initial backup was complete, day-to-day syncing of files is very fast (pretty much immediate). I use this to keep docs in my Documents directory synced between my laptop and my desktop machines, and it's worked flawlessly at that. At first I was going to use Dropbox, but the monthly fees would mean that Synk Pro pays for itself in less than a year. I also keep a bootable backup on an external drive, so that if my internal drive esplodes I can immediately recover. The Pro version allows you to create exclusion rules, so I can prevent unneeded files like .DS_Store from being copied. The developers are very responsive to problems, and keep making things better and better. A great application!
