From Stellar Information Technology:
Stellar Phoenix Photo Recovery Software recovers lost or deleted photos, videos, and other multimedia files from hard drive of computer and other detachable storage devices, such as memory cards, digital cameras, external hard disks, USB drives. However, for successful recovery by this photo recovery software, these aforementioned external storage devices must be recognized by your computer. The software scans the selected storage device and provides the list of all the photos and other multimedia files. You can see the preview of a recoverable file in three views, such as List View, Thumbnail View, and Cover Flow View. The efficient photo recovery software also provides you the feature to select single as well as multiple files for recovery. The software supports all major and popularly used audio, video, and image file formats. You can also add new file headers to the existing list. Using the Create Image feature, you can create the image of the entire storage device or selected region of the storage device. This image file is saved with .img extension by the software. You can use this image file to perform photo recovery process at any time. The Save Scan feature allows you to save the scanned information in a scan information file. This file with scanned information can later be used to recover lost or deleted files. Another useful option which this software provides is Resume Recovery. This option allows you to resume the photo recovery process at any time by using previously saved scanned information or image file. For advance users the software provides the feature Select Range. By using this feature, you can select any specific region of the hard disk, hard disk volume, or attached storage device for scanning. The scanning process will search files only in this selected region. You can minimize or maximize the application wizard as per your suitability. The Live Update Wizard automatically checks for all the latest updates of the software.
I really afraid, but I haven't found anything like Pros in this product. Though Stellar is a well-known brand in the field of data recovery, but don't know why it didn't work for me here. Smart support for audio file recovery and video file recovery was quite impressive, but that was not the thing I was looking for. The user-interface was quite good, but the performance was below average.
There are multiple cons in this software what I've found as per my personal experience. The scanning process was time-consuming, I literally waited for hours. Only 30% of my photos I could see during the preview session. I never pay 50 bucks for this software especially when it was failed to restore my data.
Before using this software, I thought I made the right choice. But it really disappointed me with its awful performance. I also tried few other data recovery tools which were quite good as compared to this one. Finally I used Recuva which helped me restore my photos and other data without paying a single penny. It's a freeware tool provided by Piriform. Thankfully I found this blog post through which I came to know about Recuva data recovery - http://wordpress.semnaitik.com/2016/10/17/deleted-photo-recovery-software/
I shot videos from my camera and kept it on my SD card. I was terribly shocked to find out that no videos were showing on my SD card when connected to my PC. I had tried some free recovery software but finally, got no result out of it. Luckily I tried this software and recovered all my lost photos back.
It does what it claims to do, unlike other software.
Interface can be improved
I had a good experience with the software. Lost over 500+ files while transferring them from CF card to Mac. Unfortunately, I did not keep a backup. Luckily found this software online and felt satisfied after trying the trial version. Although not 100%, but I recovered almost about 478 images along with few thumbnails. Thank you guys!
While transferring my files from USB drive to PC, my PC shut down suddenly. Although it restarted in no time, but after setting the option to move the pictures from USB drive to PC , the pictures were not actually moved. In fact, on restarting, I found the pictures nowhere. I was Panicked and dubious to use the software. But I must say, I made the right choice!
