Steam Mover can be used to move any folder around (by changing the Source Path), but for Steam the maximum benefit is in moving individual games from the Common folder.

Steam Mover was originally designed to help gamers move their downloaded games from the Steam client in order to free up space. It also work well with other application. The program's target directory defaults to the applications folder for Steam, but simply change this to the folder containing the applications you wish to move.

Pros
Does the job perfectly it takes the games from drive C and places them on your external drive and also lets steam know whats going on , you will have no problems playing the games from a different drive thus freeing up space on C drive, its very simple to use this software .

No cons , I cant believe this is freeware !

Easy to understand interface Quick Download Works as advertised.
Cons
By default it will install Yahoo apps, but you have the option to remove the check box and install without this bloatware. Just pay attention and read carefully during install.
