This loaded utility is a collection of well-known applications gathered in one place, but it's marred by an unreasonable trial period. Spotlight V2 consists of several applications--in one massive 60MB download--to make your online experience enjoyable. Plus it offers some protection tools against viruses, spywares, and hackers. You'll enjoy sending instant messages using Trillian's messenger application and e-mails with Outlook Plus and Mozilla Thunderbird. Surf the Web using Netscape browser and get the protection of its built-in antispyware capabilities. Apple QuickTime media player and ForOffice word processor round out this powerful application's multifaceted featured programs. Spotlight V2 displays a notes area on its new interface as well as security updates for viruses and threats, and you can enter your zip code for quick weather data. With so many areas of interest to newcomers, we find the 15-use trial restrictive for test purposes. However, this powerful suite is certainly worth a try for all Web surfers.
