This timing program acts as a stopwatch that can be enabled with a quick click, but it lacks some features we'd like to see.

Slimm Stopwatch's small, rectangular main window shows the clock display and a list of controls, including Start, Continue, and Reset. The timer docked on the taskbar as soon as we clicked Start, and it didn't interfere with other running applications during our tests. Unfortunately, you won't find skins or customization features to spruce up the rather bland time display.

Hot key support for controlling the timer would be a nice addition to its features. Slimm Stopwatch, unlike similar utilities, can't keep track of multiple events, and you can't record lap times. All in all, we saw little that would make this freeware stand out among its numerous competitors, but it may be useful for anyone seeking a very basic timer. However, users wanting a more robust timer should look elsewhere.

Slimm Stopwatch is a little stopwatch utility that automatically shrinks to the task bar when you start (or continue) the timer. While in the task bar it continues to show you the elapsed time. When you click the task bar to restore the window, the timer stops. I use it for timing public talks I deliver. I write the talk in Word and then need to practice it but I found all other stopwatch utilities always managed to be or feel in the way. So I wrote this.

Version 1 was written in Visual Basic and had a less streamlined interface though the actual minimizing to the task bar upon start and stopping upon restore idea was the same.
