Publisher's Description
From Colin Henein:
SlimBatteryMonitor is a space-efficient replacement power gauge for your Mac OS X menu bar. It monitors both laptop batteries and many UPS batteries. You can select different views for when powered, charging or on battery... even instruct SlimBatteryMonitor to automatically hide itself in some circumstances (e.g. while fully charged).
A graphical icon shows the power remaining, and can be accompanied by a text description (battery charge in percent, or time remaining). Colours indicate whether the system is fully charged, charging or on battery. In some cases, SlimBatteryMonitor can be 70% slimmer than Apple's system meter... With SlimBatteryMonitor you'll have room for other important menu bar items.
What's new in this version:
- 64/32 Universal binary supports 32 bit PowerPC Macs as well as 32/64 bit Intel-based macs
- Repairs horizontal image text display on Mac OS X 10.6 and later
- Adds arbitrary sliders to set warning panel and colour level
- Uses the Sparkle framework to automatically check for updates

"It works as claimed."
Version: SlimBatteryMonitor 1.5
Pros
Helpful utility.
Cons
None that I can find.
Summary
Helps me run the NEW battery in my MacBook down before recharging Used to run it "on battery" for a bit then recharge. The original battery would be fine until it got to the 70-75% level and then quit. Not good when planning a long trip.
