Publisher's Description
From Isaac Wankerl:
Sharpshooter is a small application which aids the management of screenshots. When you take a screenshot on Mac OS X with Command-Shift-3 (or with another variation) Sharpshooter will present a window where you can review the picture and choose what to do with it. You can either rename it from its default name to something more descriptive, move the screenshot to the Trash, or cancel the operation keeping the screenshot as it is.
Sharpshooter is a background agent application so you may want to add it as a login item to always have it running in the background. You can control Sharpshooter through the menu status item on the right side of the menu bar.
What's new in this version:
- Now asks to move Sharpshooter.app to the Applications folder. While not required, it's highly suggested that you keep the app in that folder. If you move Sharpshooter while it or its hidden background agent is running, the app won't function properly.
- Fixed a possible mismatch between the file extension shown in the Name field and the Format popup.
- Fixed issue where the app terminated before it finished moving some files to the Trash.
- Fixed a problem with movi... See all new features

In the past I have had so many Picture x.png images on my desktop and had to rename them or open them all up to find the shot I was looking for. Apple should buy this idea from you - it is one of those ideas that is so obvious once you know about it, but you didn't think of yourself.
Nice one, guys! -

Didn't work for me. I like the idea of this program as I don't like have multiple shots with Pic 1, pic2 and so on. Look forward to it getting improved. I am using a MacPro with OS 10.4.10 I can't at this point recommend this program but I would recommend keeping tracks of it. California Dreamin' -
