Publisher's Description
From Araelium Group:
Screenflick is a program for Mac OS X that features high performance screen capturing for smooth, fluid motion up to 30 fps. Screenflick can record any portion of the screen, simultaneously recording audio from internal or external microphones and the system audio.
An excellent utility for software screencasters and software trainers, Screenflick offers the ability to display keyboard commands, and highlights mouse clicks to better communicate which actions are being performed during screen recording.
Unlike other solutions, Screenflick allows you to record a movie once and compress it as many times as you want at different resolutions, qualities, and with or without audio, offering you the maximum amount of flexibility when choosing which presentation options to offer to movie viewers.

"More or less useless"
Version: Screenflick 2.2
Pros
Well, I guess it captures video...?
Cons
No settings at all. Cannot select output format, only "quality". FPS selections include 20, 30, and 60 fps. Hello USA, ever heard of the rest of the world?
Summary
This app fails on so many levels. Let's look at the other praises here; "Elegant", "Simple", "Doesn't require a computer degree", etc.
All those are true. And all those qualities are easily met by cutting away all features. Same crap as other "hey, I'm a moron who doesn't know how to use a computer"-people praise to the skies. It's easy, simple and beautiful because it has zero features. -
"So far so good."
Version: Screenflick 1.6.15
Pros
Very smooth app, captures screen perfectly, and is actually really good for app demonstration. I haven't had it for long, so it's hard to say much. But I'm very impressed by its quality, the price is right too.
Cons
The trial version has a annoying Screenflick company logo stuck in the middle of your screen capture video, but you can still manage to do an app demo with the logo in the middle, of course if it's for friends.
Summary
As a pay software, it's so far very good. No complaints.

"Great for capturing Video from Media Archives!"
Version: Screenflick 1.6.15
Pros
The only program, that easily lets me capture a movie from my web browser - with other programs(eg. screenium) I always had the problem, that the frame moved with the cursor.
Other features are pretty much the same as in other aps-quite fast encodingCons
Maybe its not the ideal screen demo ap for software demonstrations (although ist does work pretty good, too) but that's not the field I need it for anyway.
Summary
Very well priced compared to other software out there! Get it - its worth it!
-
"Incompatible with Final Cut. Unstable app."
Version: Screenflick 1.6.8
Pros
Would not recommend this appl.
Cons
This app is very unstable. The frame rate Screenflicks uses is not compatible with Final Cut, so you can't edit with what you have captured. Customer service is extremely unhelpful and unresponsive.
Summary
If you are wanting to edit in Final Cut with clips you have captured on Screenflciks, forget about it. You'll be creating a giant headache and wasting your money. Might be fine for just watching movies, but you can't edit anything from Screenflicks easily into your timeline.

"Elegant. Simple. Excellent Quality. Inexpensive."
Version: Screenflick 1.6.8
Pros
Most of the reviews will tell you Screenflow is the best, but Screenflick is excellent for OS 10.4.11 users. Elegant interface and easy to use. Multiple exports after recording and keyboard shortcut display. Cool. Inexpensive at $25.
Cons
May be lacking features of more robust screencast applications, like Screenflow.
Summary
Download the trial. I haven't bought it yet cause I'm still experimenting with screencasting, but the ability to save at various compression settings after the recording is complete will make this a no-brainer for sharing on Facebook, YouTube, etc.
If the company is listening, a future upgrade could including exporting for those social-networking formats. -
"Not so good."
Version: Screenflick 1.6
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
When I have used this application I have found that it does an inadequate job of recording my desktop background. It always turns out looking posterized and such, and don't even try to record a mandelbrot fractal with this. Other screen recording apps like iShowU don't have this problem. It greatly pisses me off that a company would charge for such a horrible product. It does have a very aesthetically pleasing and intuitive UI though. -
"Compared many, this program was best I found."
Version: Screenflick 1.6
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I found myself in need of catching a beta program's misbehavior on opening dialogs, where they would flash onscreen for an instant and then disappear. After trying ScreenFlow, iShowU, Snapper, Sequence and a couple others, I was most impressed with Screenflick. I found it best for trying different resolutions and compressions post-recording, and it was the only one that reliably was able to capture the short-duration flicker of the beta program's dialogs.
I'd highly recommend this for anyone needing screen capture to Quicktime movies. That it was a bargain compared to some of the alternatives (which performed less reliably) was an added bonus. In particular, that the most expensive ones seemed crashy and unstable while Screenflicks was rock-solid was what finally led me to focusing on Screenflicks. -
"Forget the rest ! Try the Best !!"
Version: Screenflick 1.5
Summary

Let me declare right in the beginning that I have no contact with the developers. I have not been rewarded from these comments. Not even offered a discount on their license registration fee.
Screenflick is an absolutely first class application that should really be bundled with new Apple Macs. It is elegant and powerful, works as promised and does the job without requiring a computer degree for the user. It has come along at exactly the right time when many people wish to carry the best moments from their DVDs and other sources on their laptop hard drive.
It is always nice to see an expensive (near) monopoly challenged competently. Over priced competitors will need to look at their service record to understand why there could be a migration of their customer base to this brilliant software (Screenflick).
Compare the price between SnapZ Pro and Screenflick and Also compare the functionality before spending your hard earned money.
By the way, if your disk space disappears after using Screenflick remember to delete movie in the file menu, because the programme retains the original recording in case you want to change the size of the output (perhaps a future version could provide an option in the preferences to delete the movie automatically if this is what the user wants). Otherwise nearly perfect for its stated purpose and a LOT more.
