If you're a member of the social networking community Orkut, you'll appreciate this chat accessory for letting you know when other members send you new scraps. Scrapboy's interface features the official logo and is a simple dialog box for signing into your Orkut account. After signing in, Scrapboy's icon resides in the system tray. An alert pops up when a new scrap arrives, and you can read it without navigating to the Orkut Web site, saving you time from continually checking the site for updated messages. The right-click menu also provides quick access to your Friends list, and you can turn off message alerts if you wish. During testing, the program performed quickly and without any glitches. Orkut members who want to save time from checking the site frequently for scraps will find Scrapboy to be a simple and easy-to-use solution.Publisher's description

"Good one but needs some change...."
Pros: It makes your work easier.......rather than waiting to log-in to the website you can log-in at your desktop itself...
Cons: I am not sure about the security measures that the developers might have implied......moreover certain for using certain features in orkut you have to log-in at the web-site itself.
Summary: I like the software for it saves time.......it saves the site-loading time i must say.......but as far as the security measures are concerned i will stay muted.

Version: Scrapboy 2
"Essential social network tool"
Pros: Aside from vastly improving Facebook chat with new features and a more msn-like look, it allows the user to control their social network experience in a new way: having a desktop tool that filters, delivers and notifies users on info they choose.

Summary: With the rapidly increasing amount of information (photos, friends, etc) out there (especially for those who are active users of social networks or have multiple ones) Scrapboy provides time-saving and essential filtering in a number of ways that se... read more >>
