  in a recent uk computer magazine mozilla were giving firefox browser users below 3.5 until mid july to update to 3.5 and above, so i updated to firefox 4 version

  Pros

  Safefox is another open source Firefox browser made by Mozilla and so like Pale Moon browser,which is another Firefox open source. Safefox works better than Firefox without all the problems Firefox has and is more secre for browsing.

  Cons

  It is not well known and there are no download links to download this browser,except for here on this site,C net. It has not been updated since August 2009 and they have not made anymore new versions since then.

  Summary

  It was here on this site 1 day ago I found out about Safefox,which is yet anther open source version of Firefox. The same as Pale Moon web browser is which I also have on my laptop. So Safefox is much faster than Firefox and has some security features Firefox does not have. There is a feature call keyboard safe password and when you log into your email account. You just type your log in password on the browser keyboard instead of the web page, so nobody else who goes on the computer will see it. How many times have you clicked " save Password" and so the next person on the computer will see your saved email address and password because the browser saved this? But you do not have to use this advaced keybord safe feature if you do not want to.Safefox looks exacly like Firefox but is faster than Firefox. It can be used alongside Firefox and Pale Moon another Firefox open source browser or on its own instead of Firefox and Pale Moon. But the disadvantages are that I could not find any other download links to download Safefox browser except for here on this site and when I went to the Safefox website there was no download link there either. Only a link to download Firefox not Safefox! And there are many other sites on the web who have articles about Safefox but no download link.C.net this site was the only site I could download this browser from. So a lot of people,who do not know about this site will have trouble getting this browser. As there is no download links on most websites to download Safefox except from here on this site which has a direct download. This needs to change as this is a good browser but as it is open source I think Mozilla would prefer people to download the actual Firefox browser instead. This could be the reason why it is so hard to find a download link for open source browsers like this and Chromium,the open source of Google Chrome. Another disadvantage is that Safefox has not been updated since August 2009 but this browser still works well. I now have 2 Firefox open source browsers on my laptop,Safefox and Pale Moon and both of them work better than Firefox.The Pale Moon project plans to update,Pale Moon browser. Already it has been updated twice this year to the equivalent of Firefox 368 and will update again soon.But there seems to be no plans for Safefox to be updated to this years version. But do not let this put you off.Safefox works excellent with no problems at all and all Firefox add ons are compatable with this browser. So it does not matter that it has not been updated yet. Last years version of Firefox 365 which Safefox is besed on worked fine untill they updated it. So it does not matter that you do not have a browser that was only updated a week ago! You could of course use an earlier version of Firefox. But why should you when you can use this browser? Safefox which does not crash,is more secure for browsing and works better. I highly recomend you try Safefox along with Pale Moon another Firefox open source alternative. You wont regret it.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Sep 15, 2010<p/>Well I have been using Safefox for about a week now and it is every bit as good as Pale Moon browser which is another open source version of Firefox. This browser Safefox is also an open source version of Firefox but an earlier version. That is the version above on this page July 2009 is the version that I have an they not updated it yet. My theory is that Safefox is an earlier open source version of Firefox and Pale Moon is the current open source version. I do not know if they will make anymore versions of Safefox to bring it up to the present day 2010 but this browser does work well. All Firefox add ons work with Safefox and even though it is last years version of Firefox it works good. In fact I found Firefox 3.6.3 the version we had six months ago April 2010 version worked well. But now it has been updated to 3.6.8 it is now much slower. Safefox is another alternative to Firefox if you are having problems with Firefox browser.

  Pros

  Very good, if you have used FireFox, better to have SafeFox as well. They are same. And SafeFox is more focused on Safety. I use SafeFox to do everyday banking.
