  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I've been using Safe Place for well over a year now, and my only wish is that there were a version for the Palm OS that would Sync with the desktop version. I love this software: I use it daily and it never fails me. I've spent time customizing the fields and tables and have come to really appreciate the ability to customize the program for my own needs: too many pieces of software force you to do things THEIR way. It's very easy to use and the support from Dave Batton has been phenominal: I contacted him about a Palm OS version and though he doesn't plan to do one, he pointed out that an export can be done as an encrypted PDF, which should work with DocumentsToGo 8.001 which came with my Treo. Highly recommended, and I'm using an older version!

None of them initially saw a need to do so, until after they started buying serial numbers for their new Macs. Yes, I said serial numbers. That's because that's what you usually pay for. You can usually download the software, but it's the serial number that allows you to fully use the software that you pay for. You WILL eventually need these serial numbers again at some point. Either to pay less money for an upgrade, or when you have to reinstall it all because you failed to back up your drives. If you're the type that wants a paper copy, then fine. Print the data. You can do that in Safe Place in one easy to read list. More importantly, your digital data is all encrypted. There aren't just templates for serial numbers either. Put any data you want in it. Social security numbers, kids' student ID numbers, etc. It's safe, secure, and you're not going to loose it. Also, the creator of this fine app is open to suggestions. My crummy suggestions were politely rejected and he explained why. My worthwile suggestions were either implemented, or he's working on it now. Can you beat that? I don't think so. He's willing to give the customer what they want as long as it's possible, and as long as it won't make Safe Place a bad app. In my opinion, that's exactly what every developer should do. By the way, each and every friend and relative that bought Safe Place all agree now that it's definately a must have app. It's great stuff!

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />If you are frustrated by the tedious job of keeping up with software registration codes and different user names for different web sites, this simple application will solve all those headaches (and more). I have been using Safe Place for one year and really could not imagine trying to keep up with all those details without it. Personally, I am not as concerned with others gaining access to my registration codes as I am with losing that information. I used to try to keep track of these complex strings of letters and numbers the hard way, then I found Safe Place. It keeps everything organized, and you can even print out a hard copy, just in case. I know Safe Place already has a 5 star rating, but I just wanted to reemphasize to any new readers - it really is that good!

Recall one of original reasons I picked SP was flexibility of encryption and printing -- eg will re-install os from scratch for update to 10.5 later this yr and SP will give me a nice list of all software registration info. Never a problem; easy to use interface; developer responds quickly to questions/enhancement requests. Quality stuff!

In future versions would love to see .mac integration for backup and restore and to be able to group catagories. Keep up the good work.
