• Easy Application Launcher

  Pros

  The application resides on the desktop in a small rectangle (partially hidden) on the left above the start. Moving the cursor over it expands and you can search what you need, of course after updating the default options.

  Cons

  None at all.

  Summary

  Any windows application can be integrate to SideWinder Easy interface. You can add icons to launch programs and folders. It is possible changing skin, hibernating and shutdown. This application is one of best in its sector. Software for all users.

  Sidewinder is a customizable Windows app launcher available, launch or close apps, and entirely replace traditional Start menu and taskbar workflow Simlpy drag and drop applications, websites, files, or folders, and wizards guides the rest,it is useful whereby you can cut down the step to launch application without hitting windows button to search the application shortcut again. It is possible to launch an application, switch to a window by name, and control the state of windows. Use the task option to launch an application with a timer such as shutdown pc, or even launch the included player to play a favorite song playlist. Share the SideWinder Category files (*.swc) with your friends and colleagues or even prepare your own Category. After using it and adding my icons to SideWinder, now I see that i can use it for privacy reasons, all icons are hidden inside the launcher and no one will know by looking to the windows desktop which applications are installed.   1. The built-in Quick Access Side Bar helps you doing a search on internet with just a click 2. Quickly launch Applications, Folders, Videos, Games and Shortcuts with just a mouse click. 3. NO toolbar, crapware, spyware, adware bundled

  1. Does not allows storing more then 1 email in Personal Data. Usually nowadays we all have more than 1 email. 2. Could add different levels in transperancy 3. There is no provision to arrange the Active tools in the Settings window.

  I would recommend this product to everyone. The reason is SideWinder does what all it says. We get Quick Access Side Bar which helps quickly launch Applications, Folders, Videos, Games and Shortcuts with just a mouse click. It resides inside the screen, and DOES NOT blocks any screen space. It has Integrated Babylon dictionary & translator; currency converter, notes and Shutdown timer. It is Light on system resources (tested on XP with 1Gb RAM). Supports using keyboard keys for navigation, along with mouse. It increases the productivity by greatly reducing the time required to search for applications, documents, folders of everyday use. We can have everything in just one interface and access the items be it applications, videos, google search, folders, drives, photos, songs, favorites, etc in a single mouse click. With a support of maximum of 15,000 quick launch Buttons at once, we can have everything we want with just one click. It would be good if the developer could think on adding a way of taking a backup of the settings should in case it is ever required to uninstall the program, as setting it back would take considerable time.

  The semi-transparent, glassy Blue-Sapphire interface which comes as the default Theme enhances the look and feel of the Windows and urges to have fun with the software more and more.increasES MY productivity a lot by saving huge amount of time spent on searching and clicking icons in normal way, and enhances the speed of Windows by eliminating the necessity to have any icons on your Desktop and removing the Quick Launch Toolbar from Windows

  I learned about SideWinder when I read an article in a Blog. Then I Tried it. My Start menu and Applications folder were growing larger and harder to navigate every day, but with a solid application launcher at my side, I will never notice this handicap. Sidewinder is a customizable Windows app launcher available, launch or close apps, and entirely replace traditional Start menu and taskbar workflow Simlpy drag and drop applications, websites, files, or folders, and wizards guides the rest. Easy Yes. Using SideWinder application launcher can reduce time searching favorite program shortcut that you most frequent use. Meanwhile, it is useful whereby you can cut down the step to launch application without hitting windows button to search the application shortcut again.

  Pros

  Any windows application can be integrate to SideWinder 1) Helps to have a clean desktop from icons 2) Fast Launching 3) Other utilities inclided such as a task (timer), Note Taking...

  Cons

  1) No function to get back application icons to the desktop once sidewinder in uninstalled. 2) No talking clock included in order to remind the user that a certain action will be executed as was planned in the task(timer) option.

  Summary

  SideWinder is a different aplication launcher comparing to some others that I tried before, itself do not clutter the desktop since can be minimized and can be expanded when launching of an application is needed. Drag and drop makes easy to integrate application to SideWinder. Launch outlook, search internet and get results from google, answers, youtube, without opening the browser. SideWinder is designed for instant access to applications and windows. No keystrokes are necessary, It is possible to launch an application, switch to a window by name, and control the state of windows. After using it and adding my icons to SideWinder, now I see that i can use it for privacy reasons, all icons are hidden inside the launcher and no one will know by looking to the windows desktop which applications are installed. • It's a nice launcher, but is it any quicker?

  Pros

  Looks smart. Unobtrusive when not in use. Contents of categories & buttons infinitely customisable. If you put enough things in, U can then open them with only 1 mouse click. 7 skins with free version. 36-page Help Guide pdf.

  Cons

  I keep "losing" the category bar when moving laptop mouse along it, & having to return to lefthand corner to start again. Vertical side bar has stuff I don't want/use but U can't delete them. Nag screen pops up at random intervals, very annoying.

  Summary

  After spending 2 hours deleting unwanted categories &#38; buttons, &#38; adding my own stuff, I began to wonder if it was worth it. After all, I can open things from my XP desktop, from the Favorites star, from the Start Menu, &#38; from the two Taskbar areas. On a test, I found I could open Dowload.com in about 10 secs from either SideWinder or from my Start Menu. At the moment, I am really undecided whether I will keep it or not.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Mar 30, 2010<p/>I have just uninstalled it. Didn't like not being able to customise the side bar, where the icons weren't very clear either. Didn't use it that much, I kept doing things "the old way". What really clinched it was the This Is A Free Version popup that kept appearing.

  Pros

  After putting all my desktop icons on SideWinder my computer now works smoothly as was in the begining. It loads fast and works well with my XP. I wanted such a program for a very long time. Great !

  Excellent tool. I launch my programs and websites very easily using the sidewinder.
