Version: Rootkit Buster 1.6
Pros: Fast and appears to be through, although thankfully I haven't any rootkits yet.
Cons: Had to right-click and "Run as administrator," even though I am listed on this computer as the only admin user account for my little home "network" of one desktop computer.

Version: Rootkit Buster 1.6
Pros: I like Trend Micro even though I gave the security suite a so so review. This rootkit scanner , fast, free, won't mess you up with false positives and just as effective as any dedicated rootkit scanner I've tried. What I like best about is, theres no program to install like AVG anti-rootkit scanner.
Cons: I do like F-Secure Black Light better and it's also free and available at Softpedia. Why this download isn't available here is perplexing.

Pros: very fast and thorough; erases things effectively that slow down your computer

Pros: Seems to do a a good job, but I didn't have any rootkits on my machine. It ran without problems and completed the scan with no problems noted.
