.NET Reflector enables you to easily view, navigate, and search through, the class hierarchies of .NET assemblies, even if you don't have the code for them. With it, you can decompile and analyze .NET assemblies in C#, Visual Basic, and IL.
Redgate clearly has contempt for, or at best, complete disregard for the developer community.
Summary
This tool was originally freely available. RedGate bought it from the developer with the promise of keeping it free. And now it's $95, which is the opposite of free. If they had bought it and said, "We're going to charge," that would have been fine. Instead, they chose to lie. Get ILSpy instead. It IS free and will very likely remain free, unless RedGate buys it.
Cannot Uninstall (my definition of Malware)

Pros
First let me explain to BruceDean, that the reason people obfuscate their code (which is a half baked attept to keep the lazy theives away) is to protect their property. We don't write code to teach others.
The reason I was considering purchasing this software was to be able to look at what my obfuscated code looked like.
I can report that this GarbageWARE from Red Door, thankfully did not even attempt to read my code. Maybe because it did not install correctly maybe because it just doesn't work or maybe because they are too lazy to attack my bit of code work.
Cons
Doesn't work and...
Now what really Burns me about the Steaming Turd that is Reflection is that once installed, it will not uninstall. As I said in my summary, this meets my definition of malware. I would NEVER have installed this had I even thought this type of behavior was possible.
Summary
If you want to steal from others, go and have fun... You should just manup learn how to read CIL directly.
I like being able to learn from others'

Pros
This program allows you to view the source code as it was written by you! Great tool for those who wish to learn how some programs work.
Cons
Doesn't disassemble all .net programs, mainly because they have been obsfucated. Would be even better if it undid what those programs make harder to analyze.
Summary
