This application can create another virtual storage compartment out of your system's RAM. RamDisk Plus may be accessed in two ways: its DOS command-line interface or its GUI interface from the Windows Control Panel. The application's GUI interface is easy to use. You'll determine the size and letter association for your new drive and its file type. RamDisk Plus can create multiple drives with the option to house a temp folder within each. Quickly save files and folders on your new RAM drive manually or automatically at system shutdown. The 15-day trial is ample enough to see that RamDisk Plus is beneficial in adding extra storage to your computer.Publisher's description
From SuperSpeed LLC :This is our desktop version to create a virtual disk out of RAM. The RAM disk (a.k.a. Ramdrive) appears like a physical hard disk to the operating system and programs. You choose its size (depending on the amount of RAM in your system), drive letter, and file system. You can copy, move and delete files on it. Like a physical disk, a RAM disk can also be shared so as to be accessed by other computers on a network. Other features include full command line interface, multiple disk support, system page file support, and a versatile disk image backup facility. You can manually save the RAM disk's contents to an image file, or have the contents saved automatically when the computer is shutdown. RamDisk Plus has been tested to meet Microsoft standards for Windows compatibility. Version: RamDisk Plus 8.4
"cannot uninstall on Windows 2000, may require 1 key/partition"
Pros: Easy to use, nice features like multiple ram disks and the ability to save data at shutdown.
Cons: I have 2 partitions on the same physical drive. The licensing code generates 2 different keys, so I assume that I would have to pay twice to use this on the same physical machine. And I cannot uninstall it using Add/Remove Programs. I removed the ram disk then rebooted, then tried Add/Remove Programs. When I clicked Change/Remove it just came right back. I even manually deleted the drivers and virtual bus, rebooted, and tried again. Could not uninstall. Had to restore my partition from a Ghost backup. Bad news!

Version: RamDisk Plus 8.4
"Definitely worth the price. Totally reliable & Solid."
Pros: I have been using this product successfully for months, no problems, it's great.
Cons: License being based on hostname, so I cannot move the product to a different laptop as I upgrade my hardware or if I need to change the machine name for compatibility on a different network.
Summary: It's definitely worth it. It's totally reliable in my experience.
