RSSOwl is a free RSS or RDF or Atom Newsreader in Java using SWT as fast graphic library. Supported OS are Windows, Mac, Linux, and Solaris. Some features are export of news to PDF, Import and Export with OPML and the full text-search with syntax highlight, for easy execution, a .exe is provided on Windows, a shell-script on Linux, Solaris, and the Mac version is deployed in an application bundle. RSSOwl comes with a huge list of sample favorites.

some sources I have tried to add I couldn't as RSSOwl not in list--- google takes over!
Summary
I could not at this stage give a focussed comment. I am new to these things-- I have found it useful and would like to make it my main reader but not all feeds seem to br able to be directed your way (see#4 above)

Pros
Simple and clean interface. The interface is nice and uncluttered as some other RSS readers are. Plethora of settings "preferences" to adjust your experience.
Cons
Goofy tray icon.

Pros
Allows the accumilation of both emails and RSS feeds. Overal very good, and not too hard once you figure out how to work it.
Cons
Quite difficult to operate at times, and a bit basic. The reloading often fails as well.

-Light,Doesnt cram your PC's resources
-Help Manuals are good
-Setting preferences is not confusing
Cons
-Installation issues(It requires Java Virtual Machine)
-Standalone tool.Like if you are a multiple
PC user then there is no synchronisation between various RSS feeds that you view.
