• Decent, but not useful always

  Data has to be numeric (e.g. time values are not accepted) Won't compute area under provided curve/line, rather would first approximate best fit ?

  Easy to use yet seems powerful. Clean, simple install. I had the graph I needed within about 5 minutes, including installation.

  e vertical tabs realli cracks my neck. And i wish i can copy e graph & paste in WORD other den saving it as image file than opening it on WORD

  I was able to present better and more detailed graphs in lab. My prof was so impressed he gave me a higher grade I should have received. He now uses RJS Graph as the standard for his students.

• not quite microsoft

  This program charades around as a microsoft office product. It does a pretty good job of it and is extremely user friendly and I think that it creates nice looking graphs. The biggest problem with it is that the export function is pointless. I wanted to use it to make graphs for word but they don't save as anything but propriety filetypes.

  If you've got some numbers ready this program is great for graphing. Just don't try to change anything! The lines interpolate past the last data point and you can't chop off the line. Gives only regressions to the third degree. Can't copy numbers from the formula screen to paste elsewhere. Can't draw lines or add text to graph. Rolling vertical menus on right side hurt your neck.

  Summary

  This program is an excellent alternative to the graph functions of excel. You can present data virtually any way you want, although the GUI lets it down a bit. There are small flaws in some the controls and there are some other variables that I'd have liked direct control of, but with strategic placement (and duplication) of data you can present pretty much anything.

  Many many features, interesting and powerful. Only pb is the interface and the vertical tabs a bit difficult to read. Takes tiem to get around all the features and understand what they all really do. But a great tool.

• Equation plotting doesn't work

  I entered y=2x as an equation. This equation didn't show up on the graph. Then I tried 2^x, which made the program crash. I tried this 5 times and got always the same result.
