Though the demo disables some important features, Privacy Guardian easily eliminates traces of certain online and offline activities. In general, the interface is convenient, allowing you to quickly erase your history with the tray icon. Another point in this application's favor is it won't hinder performance since it doesn't use much RAM when running in the background. The file shredder is accessible via both the main window and the Windows context menu, but it won't delete entire folders or let you choose from a list of different secure algorithms. Privacy Guardian removes junk files not only from Windows and Internet Explorer, but also from Opera. It also deletes traces from a large number of popular applications such as ICQ, Kazaa, and Google Toolbar, but the trial version disables this feature. The utility automatically cleans your computer at regular intervals. Privacy Guardian's simple, straightforward nature makes it suitable for PC novices and common users alike.Publisher's description

To protect your privacy and improve your system's performance, Privacy Guardian can delete cookies, clean index.dat files, clean the cache, erase the recent documents history, clear the recent documents list, remove temporary files, free hard drive space, kill typed URLs, wipe autocomplete-form data, empty file and temp folders, bleach empty hard-drive space and products such as Kazaa, iMesh, or ICQ. Privacy Guardian uses an advanced eraser to ensure all traces of your Internet and computer activities are permanently deleted and unrecoverable on your PC. Web browsers only provide partial privacy protection by allowing some temporary Internet files and cookies to be deleted, but they do not wash data out of all the hidden files, nor do they delete the data securely. Privacy Guardian is free of spyware and adware.

Pros: At the time I posted this review there were 5 others. None told me anything about thia application. Curious as always, I tried it. It has a nice, user friendly GUI. It does everything it says it will do but you have to be careful what you set it to clean or will delete something you don't want it to. It works OK with "Vista".
Cons: I have one big issue with this application. It wants you to restart or refresh your computer after every cleaning. If you select refresh, it's like closing and opening "Windows Explorer". Some of your programs will no longer be running.No way! There are other, equal or better options that don't require a restart. Restarting is to much trouble to be worth using this application.

Pros: This program is another crummy piece of software by a sneaky software company.
Does not work as expected, wants a restart or refresh after every use. Auto renewal should be against the law. If any company thinks they can get away with charging my credit card without checking with me first, their full of chit!
Cons: There are far, far better programs available for the same money. In fact, there are better free programs available. I can not recommend this or any program by "PC Tools" anymore. Personnel experience with their auto renewal policy has steered me clear of this company.

Pros: Thats correct. To the idiot who trashes other peoples reviews because he or she thinks this is their personal website. Kiss my a**. And don't forget, this person has multiple user accounts. Can I play to? A** H***. Come get mine because I don't give a chit.
Cons: Garbage app.
