Privacy Drive is an easy-to-use encryption software that uses Virtual Disk & "On-the-fly" Disk Encryption Technology to lock, hide and encrypt all your important files and folders, password protects sensitive personal and commercial information from unauthorized access. Using industry-leading strong encryption algorithms, Privacy Drive allows you to create multiple encrypted volumes to mount as virtual disks, you can use them just as other normal hard drives. All data on the virtual disks is stored in encrypted form and is automatically encrypted or decrypted right before they are saved or loaded, you don't need to manually encrypt or decrypt each and every file or folder.
When you are done, simply dismount the virtual disk/encrypted volume and all your important files and documents will be instantly protected. There is no data stored on an encrypted volume can be read (decrypted) without using the correct password. The entire file system within the volume is encrypted (e.g., file names, folder names, contents of every file, free space, meta data). Furthermore, you can transfer your encrypted volumes via email, upload or backup, move or copy them to external hard drives, USB drives, Firewire drives, CD/DVD, Cloud Servers (such as Microsoft SkyDrive or Google Drive) or any other portable storage device and take them with you, wherever you go, you can continue to access your encrypted data using Privacy Drive. This gives you the power of taking your sensitive data anywhere you want without the fear of data loss or theft.

Pros
Privacy Drive encrypts files and folders by using industry-leading AES-256 encryption algorithm, hides them from view. That is truly the ultimate security. How can anyone get into a folder they do not even know exists.
Cons
Nothing to complain about so far. I have recommended this product to my friends.

I use it on my Windows 8 PC and Surface Pro to keep my files and folders private. Excellent experience, simple user interface, very easy to use and encrypt all your data on the fly. It does exactly what it claims to do, just as I expected.

It has a nice user interface but for me it became irritating after a while.
If you need virtual drive encryption you really shouldn't look any further than Truecrypt - it's the standard in encryption, Free and more importantly is highly recommend by the like of Bruce Schneier.Cons
Too expensive when you consider the competition is free and better.

Summary
The encrypted volume file (.pdv) even can be uploaded to a cloud server such as Microsoft SkyDrive or Google Drive. You may access protected data from anywhere and anytime, that's cool!

Very nice interface, easy to use, fast and seemed reliable.
Cons
The problem with all virtual disk security products is they all have to contend with the mighty free and open source Truecrypt. Truecrypt has been recommended by security experts worldwide for a long time now and has been analysed and developed by industry experts, for that reason I'm more inclined to trust Truecrypt with my files than other program. However, Truecrypt isn't the easiest software to setup and use whereas this program was a breeze on both counts. I recommend you give both Truecrypt and Privacy Drive a test run.
