CNET Editors' review
PowerPoint/PPT to Pdf Converter provides users with an easy solution for converting PowerPoint presentations to PDFs. Everything about this program is simple, from its interface to its self-explanatory functionality.
We started the conversion process by selecting a PowerPoint presentation that consisted of mostly images. It took a few minutes for the conversion process to finish, but once it was complete, the resulting PDF looked good. The only drawback that we found is that the program did not have any way of adjusting resolution or file size. We would have liked an option to reduce the file size, which would have come in handy for converting our image-heavy presentations to an e-mail-friendly PDF. Other than that, this application accomplishes what it was created to do, easily and efficiently.
PowerPoint/PPT to Pdf Converter installs easily and does not create any unwanted desktop shortcuts. However, the trial version does not uninstall cleanly, leaving a folder in your Program Files. What's more, the program's trial places a watermark on each page of the PDF. A Help feature is included, but it does not provide the user with any real information. However, the program is so easy to use, that the lack of a good Help file is not a tragedy. Overall, this application is a good, inexpensive solution for PowerPoint to PDF conversion.

"A severe disappointment. Trial is useless."
Version: PowerPoint/PPT to Pdf Converter 5.8
Pros
Can't think of one except to warn people to be wary of "free" trials that are totally useless.
Cons
Conversion limited to 5 files.
Conversion slow.
Converted file has large, red characters across middle of each page "unrestered version."
Nag screens come up over and over.
install requires reboot - always an annoyance, esp with this "trial"Summary
Cnet seems to be a shill for some of these software companies. Why not say, in description, what the user will experience if he downloads the "free" version?
Power point itself converts to pdf. So do other programs, such as pdf factory. This one is a loser. -
"absolutely Useless"
Version: PowerPoint/PPT to Pdf Converter 5.8
Pros
none what so ever
Cons
Requires:
1. buying the full version
2. having MS office installed, which begs the question if office is already installed why would anyone use this useless tool.Summary
I downloaded this as CNET editors gave this 3.5 stars and describing it as very good tool.
Did anyone at CNET actually install this tool and try it??????? -
"extremely useless"
Version: PowerPoint/PPT to Pdf Converter 5.8
Pros
there is no
Cons
the program doesn't work unless you buy an original version, try bringing that up next time you decide to promote something so people don't lose their time downloading useless things.
