Despite the limiting name, Pop-Up Sentry swats away all kinds of annoyances. It handles pop-ups, banners, and Flash and DHTML ads without a hitch and didn't hinder our browsing at all. It lets through pop-ups for entering passwords via secure connections, as well as ones you've approved. Should an unauthorized pop-up slip by, you can report it to the developers with a click.
Though Pop-Up Sentry is not primarily an adware blocker, it does a better job than many specialized utilities. At 16MB, the program does consume a considerable amount of memory when running in the background. However, when supplemented with a free spyware scanner, Pop-Up Sentry provides a formidable line of defense for your PC.

The program is easy to use and contains no spyware, adware, or any other harmful software. Sponsored-ad and banner blocking is now available under the advanced options and is off by default.
Version 4.0.1008 has an updated anti-spyware scanner, supports IE7 and Firefox and introduces a new bandwidth saving mode for ad-blocking.

Finally a pop-up blocker that works the way I want it to. Easy to use with a white list that actually works properly and anti-spyware to boot, what's not to like?
