There's a lot to like about Pop-Up No-No, but there are plenty of flaws, too. The installation is fast, but to launch the program you have to register at the developer's site and get a free registration code through e-mail. Only after you type in the code does the program start working in your system tray. Pop-Up No-No can disable background sounds, GIF animations, and messenger service ads, and it can launch at start-up. The program claims to ban Flash ads, but that didn't work in our testing. It works with Internet Explorer as well as Netscape, Mozilla, and Opera. However, it opens pop-up windows before closing them. You can only access the program's features by right-clicking on the icon in the system tray, which makes you wonder why it creates a desktop icon. If you don't mind having to register, Pop-Up No-No might satisfy home users, especially those who use the Netscape browser.Publisher's description

Pros: Dont know-never found out.
Cons: I was told they would send me a code key to use blocker but they never sent it to my e-mail. shame on them...

"5 stars: I can't recommend this product highly enough."
Pros: This program downloaded, installed, registered, and ran perfectly.
It even allows you to double click the tray icon to disable or enable the popup feature.
I'm not certain why other people gave this tool a bad rap!
Too bad, because this tool works great!!!

"Beats the others hands-down!"
Pros: I've been using popup blockers in my institutional setting for some time now. When we saw traces of the Google Toolbar showing signs of ineffectiveness (sorry, Google) I began to standardize on Popup No-No. Since then I've had no repeat incidents. Zero. Na-da.
Every time I install this on a workstation, it's smooth as silk. The product does exactly what it claims to do and it does it well. My end users like being able to turn the blocker on and off with a quick double-click on the toolbar, and have learned the difference between GIF animations, flash popups, Messenger ads, etc., and are using this to great effectiveness. It's also one less thing cluttering up my browser toolbar!
As for ease of use, it's great! Simple, low resource usage, shows you when you're on a site that is using hidden pages (aka pop-ups and pop-unders) by temporarily displaying the window with an accompanying optional sound, and a nifty feature called Quick Search that I find more and more people at my workplace using. This product is now an integral part of my security suite, and has saved me countless hours and (intrusion-detection product) dollars. I recommend it highly!
