Anyone who knows anything about sales can tell you that there's much more to the process than simply approaching a potential customer, making your pitch, and hoping for the best. There are specific steps in the sales process, and the better you can manage the events in each of these steps, the better your results. Pipeliner is a comprehensive tool that can help sales professionals keep track of every step along the way, from the initial contact with a potential client to closing the deal.
The program's interface is sleek and attractive; it's made for professionals and its appearance reflects that. It's fairly intuitive for anyone who's familiar with the concept of sales pipelines, but beginners may need to consult the comprehensive built-in Help file. The interface is split into seven columns: Contact, Verify, Evaluate, Offer, Agree, Contract, and Closed. Simply double-click in a column to create a new opportunity; the Opportunity panel lets you select an account and record a description, contact information, and a closing date. For each opportunity you can enter tasks (and set reminders), manage account information, and view the opportunity in an organizational chart that shows relationships between the opportunity and involved parties. You can move opportunities between the different steps in the pipeline by simply dragging and dropping them. A timeline view gives a quick overview of upcoming closing dates, and a built-in address book lets you keep track of important contacts. The licensed version of the program comes with a full complement of reporting tools. Whether you're an independent contractor or manage a whole sales team, Pipeliner has plenty of tools to help you increase efficiency and make your sales forecasts more accurate. It's worth trying, and many users will likely find it's worth buying, too.

We were searching for a crm for quiet a while and we finally came acrossthe pipeliner trial. Someone from pipeliner contacted us right away and guided us through the 30 day trial. We felt comfortable in going with pipeliner after working with it for a couple week. The most crucial factor was the team adoption for us and that went pretty well. Pipeliner also provided great support so that helped a lot.
I definitely recommend this crm. -

The full version would appear to be a useful tool and do all the things that I am looking for.
Cons
The free version's functionality is so limited that it's virtually useless. You can't even import contact, so really how can they call it free? To unlock the functionality you are looking at a substantial spend.

If you are looking for a free program - or even one that you can properly test before buying, give this program a big miss.

"Looks Perfect, but No Install File"

Looks like exactly what I was seeking

The zip file has no setup file that i could find so it was a huge disappointment to not be able to install and try it out.
Summary
I have unfortunately, WIN7 as my OS, maybe a problem in that area as it has so many problems anyway. But I was unable to locate a "setup" or exe file to install the program.

I have never seen such an intuitive product that simplifies my everyday sales. There is no product on the market that can compare to this. The new lead management tool is top, document attachment per simple drag and drop.....top!!!

Summary
Anyone who is involved in sales needs to see this tool. It is intuitive, easy to learn and, most of all, helps me organize my everyday business with all my sales reps (have 8 of them).
In regards to the AIR comment, I have never had a resource or security problem with it. It works perfectly fine and provides less problems than any other web-based solution. It runs perfectly on our macs and windows environments.
The AIR application makes this a real offline client for the team solution. I have the data with me all the time, even when travelling. NO windows product can offer that!!!
