Publisher's Description
From MultimediaPhoto:
Photomatix Pro automatically combines differently exposed images of a high contrast scene. Photomatix Pro extends the dynamic range using two images of the same scene, one exposed for the highlights and one exposed for the shadows and combines them into one image with details in both the dark and bright areas of the scene. Photomatix Pro lets you generate a High Dynamic Range Image (HDRI) from any number of differently exposed images. Once your HDRI is created, you can view it through an accessory window that shows local data at the appropriate exposure. Additionally, it lets you automate image combination through an easy-to-use batch processing.

"Excellent program for HDR"
Version: Photomatix Pro 4.2
Pros
Ease of use, price, feature set, stand-alone product that does not require Photoshop. Excellent final results
Cons
Not enough presets and should have a forum where users can upload presets into a preset library on HDRsoft website
Summary
For around $99 Photomatix Pro is a great stand-alone tool for both Windows and Mac platforms and will easily help you to produce great looking and stunning HDR photos. If this is something that interests you I highly recommend downloading the demo version of Photomatix and experimenting with your photos and see for yourself how easy yet powerful this program is. For me, having to spend less than $100 to achieve a high-priced final look is certainly worth the investment and HDRSoft will also provide free updates for up to two years after your purchase on the software.

"Excellent software"
Version: Photomatix Pro 4.1.4
Pros
Great results, far superior to phtoshop for HDR work. Now Deals with noise, chromatic aberration and localised ghosting very effectively. Lots of options which allow you to achieve just result you're looking for.
Cons
None really.
Summary
I've been using Photomatix for 4 years and although I've tried other HDR software this is still the best. It's evolved over the years and got even better. HDRSofts upgrade policy for Photomatix Pro users is excellent-I've just upgraded to the latest Pro version for free after buying th software in 2008.

"Great HDR stand alone or Plug-in Program"
Version: Photomatix Pro 4.0.2
Pros
This is the lastest version of the product. I find it a useful tool when doing HDR photography. If you love HDR you will want several tools to run and this is one to have.
Cons
It isn't all things to every photographer, but it does come close.
Summary
I bought this and download it to upgrade and keep my version up to date. I love HDR and this is one of the tools I own. So much better than Adobe CS 5 has.

"Good for combining bracketed exposures"
Version: Photomatix Pro 1.0
Pros
Align the bracketed shots with care and this little freebee will give a good midrange picture with the detail from both shots. Further enhancement can then be made in other programs. Recommended.
-
"Over priced one hit wonder!"
Version: Photomatix Pro 1.0
Pros
Pretty good at what little it does.
Cons
One trick pony show, Over priced, Doesn't do TRUE HDR work, fakes it! No Exif support and
Crashes a lot!
