Doesn't work. That's a big one. Hasn't worked for a long time. I was a paid customer and they never responded to my support requests. Now I see that they shut down: http://www.bitcartel.com/thejam/

It's easy to use. It labels tracks, includes album cover art.
Cons
It records in 64 kbps. This wasn't always the case. Whether you're an audiophile or totally casual listener, there's a very discernible difference in sound quality between a file at 192kbps (which Pandora One subscribers get) versus 64kbps.
Summary
I used this program and recommended it to others until it went strictly to 64kbps recording. I've stopped using it altogether.

until nov 21 the beta 2.0 version worked great.

it stopped working and bitcartel isn't posting any explanation or answering emails. lots of people are wasting time troubleshooting this. why don't they put an explanation on there blog or twitter feed? will it get fixed?

Sometimes when you launch the full browser you'll inadvertently start another audio stream - does not seem to affect recording.

Aspects I like are as follows: - no browser needed - small enough to be out of the way, but large enough to have all of the web based features - recording!!!!! - thumbs up recordings automatically kept in a folder; thumbs down recordings not kept at all - ability to automatically add to iTunes or not (my daughter does, I don't) - automatically gets the cover art - can edit stations etc. One thing I don't care for (probably not PandoraJam's fault): - 64 bit rate recordings However, I assume that they are broadcast in this manner, or that this is done to prevent "issues". Either way, I'm really impressed with this app, and strongly recommend it to all others. His Comic book app is great too. The only issue is that I don't know what to suggest to the poor Windows users who can't use PandoraJam. Well, aside from, "go buy a Mac".

Works well on my iBook G4, though Pandora's Flash-based interface is a memory and CPU hog.<br> Saving to iTunes is a great little feature, and scrobbling the played tracks to Last.fm is <b>awesome</b>. I submitted a quick suggestion to the developer for a different way of handling Last.fm submissions, and got back a response the next day. Just all-around great app.
