PPT to Video Scout provides a simple tool for quickly converting slideshows into video files. With quite a basic layout, it's easy to use. It does a fine job of producing high-quality video that can add visual appeal and a professional touch to your presentations and projects.
The interface is a breeze to navigate, thanks to a Wizard-like layout and simple commands. We were never confused, nor did we feel the need to visit the Help file for further instructions. We were able to choose one PowerPoint file at a time to convert, which kept us focused on the task at hand. One place where the program was surprisingly expansive was its list of video file options for conversion. It will convert PPT files into just about any video format, including various MPEG formats, Microsoft Video, and about a dozen others. The Wizard walked us through tweaking the slide show's speed and sound with equal ease, though we found the default settings were best. Our file was converted surprisingly quickly, in only a matter of seconds, and it maintained all data and images in its new incarnation. PPT to Video Scout also provides a smart Preview feature that scans the PPT file before conversion.
PPT to Video Scout is a simple, straightforward program that is easy to use and performs its duties very well. It's limited to a 30-day trial period. It installs desktop icons without permission.

Pros
Intuitive interface, lots of video formats to convert PPT to, program toolbar can be installed directly to powerpoint.
Cons
Got one issue, but it was solved with user support service in little or no time at all.

Nothing due to the lack of instructions.
Cons
This software has too many video format options and no information regarding when each one should be used. I tried 11 tests with my PowerPoint slideshow and only 1 completed successfully and it was 327 MB.
Summary
The software needs to offer some help when selecting which video format to use with the various choices for resolution and frame rate. My computer system froze on almost all of the tests that I tried. It was difficult to get out of the program because the "cancel" button did nothing to stop the process.
