"Best Free PDF Reader on Windows 8"
Version: PDF Reader for Windows 8 1.0.1.1666
Pros
This app is fast. I can easily set it as the default PDF reader on my Windows 8. The Microsoft PDF Reader does not handle PDF files well, for instance, Microsoft reader does not allow you to open two PDF documents and compare.
Cons
Not many features, but enough for my work.
Summary
Perhaps the best Free PDF Reader on Windows 8.
-
"Average PDF Reader"
Version: PDF Reader for Windows 8 1.0.1.1666
Pros
Small and quick PDF reader
Cons
CNET's installed is a piece of junk that seems like it's trying to install smiley face apps, browsers, and other junk and it's worded in a way that tries to trick the user into installing crapware.
Summary
Decent reader but there's better out there. DO NOT USE CNET'S INSTALLER.

"Best text rendering quality of all free PDF readers"
Version: PDF Reader for Windows 8 1.0.1.1666
Pros
Most people don't expect much from their PDF reader. They want to double-click a PDF file and have it open quickly. Beyond this, some users may want to see thumbnails every page, browse the table of contents or do some basic editing such as rotation. This PDF Reader gives the user like me to do these things quickly and easily on my Windows 8 laptop.
Cons
I'd like to be able to customize the tool bars a little more, then lock them in place. This is a minor detail though. PDF Reader for Windows 8 ROCKS!
Summary
Fast, easy to use, excellent set of tools, and free. Adobe reader has met it's match, PDF Reader for Windows 8 is a very good easy to use progam. Bye Bye Adobe bloatware.

"The best PDF reader I've ever seen"
Version: PDF Reader for Windows 8 1.0.1.1666
Pros
Installed this freeware program, and it works as advertised. I can open all my electronic bills and W9 forms at home. In the office I can open all financial reports. Thumb up!
Cons
Less feature than Adobe Reader XI
Summary
All in all the free application works on Windows 8 as expected, starts up, and loads PDF files extremely fast. Recommend to everyone!
-
"Cannot use."
Version: PDF Reader for Windows 8 1.0.1.1666
Pros
Works on some PDF files.
Cons
I receive my Electricity bill in PDF but I can't read it with Windows 8 - no problem with Win7. So I can still not use Windows 8 for my PDF.
Summary
My email: geninno@mweb.co.za - send me an email address and I can send you my PDF file. Thanks. Dave.
In all fairness to you, I tried the latest Adobe reader and that also does not read my file in Win8. - Boot up with Win7 and voila - no prob.
