This program logs keystrokes, visited sites, launched applications, and chats, but its functionality is somewhat limited. PC Police can't block applications or sites, nor can it take screenshots. It also suffers from a very limited trial, which allows only five uses of the program. Uninstalling left several files on our test machine, although the publisher provides a separate uninstall utility. You access the program by typing a command into the Start > Run dialog and then entering a password. We would prefer hot-key access to the program, as similar utilities offer. To make matters worse, anyone who knows the names of the processes can shut down the utility in the Task Manager. On the upside, the program delivers complete logs, with a keyword, application, and Web-browser history. It also logs chat for Yahoo, MSN, AOL, and ICQ IM clients, and can e-mail the logs to you. However, we found several program actions took an inordinately long time to execute, hinting at either excessive resource usage or instability. Those problems, combined with the lack of hot-key access and screenshots, keeps PC Police Generation well behind its competition.Publisher's description
