• Compress but got Pop-Up Occasionally.

  1. If you compress a few pdfs files, you would have a frustrated time of seeing the pop-up from the software mentioning that you are using the free trial version and requested you to upgrade to pro version. Need to wait a few seconds to continue compressing.

  Summary

  If you want to compress just one file at a time, it's useful. if you want to compress multiple PDF files, stay away.

  Pros

  1. Was able to compress the CA Drivers Handbook from over 55 MB to a little over 3 MB. 2. Does not seem to have any virus.trojans (I tried downloading a different PDF compressor from download.com, and my AVG alerted me to trojan in it) 3. I tried yet a different PDF compressor, and it showed that it did not support the PDF revision that was used for the Drivers Handbook mentioned above.

  Cons

  Will try to upsell you (but what do you expect for a freebie)

  Summary

  Seems to do a commendable job in compressing a massive > 50 MB PDF file to just above 3 MB -- more than a 10:1 compression ratio. With that, I was able to upload the PDF to Amazon and then download it to my Kindle. Amazon has a 50 MB file size limit, and I would not have been able to (easily) placed the file on my Kindle without this tool.

  I checked no to the "extras" they asked about installing and got them anyway. Spent a lot of time removing crap I didn't want.

  Don't download unless you're desperate!

• Great Product - Does what it claims

  Pros

  On black and white PDF I saw 70% reduction and color PDF I saw 50% reduction. This product is amazing.

  Cons

  No cons on this software. I visited the creator website to buy upgrade and support product but it is a little pricey for me.

  Summary

  I have been searching around for a PDF compressor and the results of this one beat those claimed by other paid products.
