• Happy with previous versions- this ver fails-no support

  Pros

  Previous versions used to work fine and use multiple methods of finding duplicates efficiently. If you can get ahold of the older versions it used to be great I was a big fan.

  Cons

  Recently upgraded and the new version just crashes repeatedly. Tried on multiple different configs of computers with same result. No error or warning- the app just closes after results are compiled before you can look at them. Small directories or large. try to use the support that is purchased, but they are never available online and the system to open a ticket just goes back to the support page when you hit submit and no ticket is created. ( you can go back and search on your e-mail and it comes back no tickets)

  Summary

  DO NOT PURCHASE!!! Fighting for a refund, but I think we've just been defrauded. company skips town with the money and you can't get them to reply.

• You Buy It But NEVER Own it

  Pros

  Does its job as advertised. Biggest drawback is their 'hidden' policy of having to buy a newer version after a certain date is reached.

  Cons

  Coded into the software is a date beyond which you can not reinstall by entering the activation code. You have to buy another edition. Built-in expiration is a rip-off. There are many products that are just as good and will honor reinstall and restore operations without forcing you to buy a newer edition.

  Summary

  I find their policy to be the chief reason for rejecting their product! You bought it, you should have the right to use it as long as you want!

  Actually finds clones. File names don't seem to matter. Nice array of ways to select files to delete.

  None that I've noticed.

  Summary

  I had a need to find identical MP3 files and my wife needed to purge identical image files. This did the job nicely.

  I am frustrated that NOCLONE does not allow to compare pictures with exact same pixels whatever are the metadata.

  Summary

  Often I receive the same (not similar) pictures with different metadata. It would be nice to select the same pictures in order to only keep one deleting the others one with no clone or deleting the others one after a manual treatment of the metadata (for instance making a summary of all metadata.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on May 2, 2013<p/>Noclone is very nice for small amount of files to be searched for duplicates For be amount of files to be searched, if Noclone finds few candidates it works properly For big amount of files to be searched and a lot (for instance 90%) of files are duplicates, Noclone systematically fails before the search end, that means it does not go trough the searh, or it fails during the very long phase of deleting duplicates files. Also the last version keep my computer so busy during the search that I cannot do something else. But I find the Noclone functionnalities very usufull even if I have idea for some usufull new ones.

  Good at finding duplicate emails Occassionally will work with small groups of pictures.

  Software crashes when working with ten's of thousands of pictures Occassionally will falsy identify simular images when they are no where alike Does not sort the images in a way to select one to remove from the collection Unable to size the pictures to better identify duplicates

  Summary

  I did find some value to the software, but definatly looking forward to fixing some bugs. Not happy about it yet. My support ticket has gone unanswered for over a month.

• DO NOT INSTALL, hidden Uninstall, payware/hostageware

  Free version doesn't do enough to be informative.

  Cons

  Free/trial will remove up to 3 files. It will start every time you boot your computer, then we have to go through 4 windows to'qRollback, one isshown twice. Looking through 'Programs and Features' there is no 'NoClone' in the listing. Now I am going to have to locate other means or 'Rollback' system. DO NOT INSTALL unless you pkan on paying for it.

  Summary

  Malware, hostageware, general pain the arse... If CNet continues to host junk/malware, force us thru several screens of 'toolbars' they are no longer a 'Safe' source of software.

  I downloaded and installed on my win 7 machine. Tried to load a directory and it froze for about 5 minutes. Rebooted and just uninstalled it at that point.

  None unless you object to limitations on free version.

  I compared several clone locators and this was the first and cheapest to do everything I needed.
