Editors’ Review
It offers a clear-cut means to anonymous Web browsing, but this IP-masking program doesn't throw in any extras and surfing is noticeably slow. Ninja Surfing's small UI is all business, with simple buttons to carry out functioning and a no-frills design. The interface showed our current IP address, and all we had to do was select the correct country from the drop-down menu.
Ninja Surfing quickly found available working proxies to mask our true IP, and it's a one-click process to switch to a new one. As expected, surfing with the fake proxy is a bit slower, so those with an already-slow connection might find the sluggishness isn't a good trade-off for the anonymity. Also, you can't build your own list of proxies to switch between or set a timer for automatic toggling between the proxies like other apps we've worked with.
Even though this application is skimpy on features, and there's not much to test, the three-day trial is still on the stingy side. Ninja Surfing offers simple, anonymous Web-surfing capabilities to those folks merely needing the basics, but it was a bit too basic for us.
